possible solution?

Grant - check out this update from one of our overworked engineers:

Just finished testing opening Notes.exe, Designer, and Admin for three users at once on Firefoot. We tried different scenarios, userA with Notes, Designer, and Admin open and then have userB and userC open notes and designer, etc. Each time all users could open all three applications.

The initial time opening Notes was a little slow. This is due to the Workspace folder being redirected to the H:\. Seems faster after the initial opening of Notes. The workspace folder was redirected to the H:\ by changing the following line in the file C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\framework\rcp\rcplauncher.properties:

rcp.data=c\:/Program Files (x86)/IBM/Lotus/Notes/Data/workspace
to
rcp.data=h\:/Notes/Data/workspace

Once this change was made the files in the h:\notes\data\workspace folder started to update.

One user did get an error when trying to open designer (Failed to login CLFRJ0010E: Notes initialization failed). I had to close Notes but once I opened Notes again, I could open Designer. I did not see the error after that.
